Choosing a framework
Every Fancy Bricks template is written once and works with any of three frameworks — pick the one your site already uses, or the one you'd choose for a new build.
| Framework | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fancy Framework | Free | Bricks' own native global variables; no extra plugin to buy. |
| Automatic CSS (ACSS 4) | Paid, separate product | Converted automatically at copy time. |
| Core Framework | Paid, separate product | Converted automatically at copy time. |
You tell Fancy Bricks which framework your site uses once (see Copy and paste), and every template you copy from then on is translated to that framework's own variables on the spot — colors, typography, spacing and radii all map onto your framework's tokens, so the result looks exactly like it does in the live preview.
Conversion tables — pending
A full table mapping every Fancy Bricks variable and style family to its ACSS 4 and Core Framework equivalent is coming before launch.
Common problems
- A template's accent color doesn't match my framework's. Set your framework's own primary/accent color — Fancy Bricks' Tone: Brand setting (see Style families) always points at whatever your framework calls its accent, it never sets a fixed color of its own.
